UX Research Student Assistant

Hi there! We’re Driversnote, a small SaaS company based in the heart of the Copenhagen startup scene. We take pride in helping more than 1 million users worldwide keep a mileage logbook. No one likes to do mileage documentation - so we try to remove this tedious work and make our customers’ work life simpler by saving them time and money.

The opportunity

We’re looking for an ambitious, flexible student assistant looking to get hands-on experience in a tech start-up.

We’re full speed ahead building out our service across different countries. We have a lot of work ahead of us and are therefore in need of a talented UX Researcher. This is a great learning opportunity for a student striving for a career in UX in the tech business.

As a team, we believe in a collaborative working style with a bias towards rapid prototyping, user testing, and a strong interest in our customers and their needs.

The role

We’re looking for a part-time student assistant to support the product team by coordinating and conducting UX research while gathering data and discovering valuable insights.

Possible tasks may include things like finding the right users to talk to, setting up and scheduling calls, conducting user interviews, creating surveys and making sense of the gathered data.

We imagine you’re studying a UX-related degree in or near Copenhagen, and we expect you have either completed your first year at your studies or have at least some relevant experience from a previous job or study.

Working hours are 12-20 hours per week, with flexibility built in to account for exams and school holidays. The work will take place in our office in central Copenhagen right next to the new Metro station on Gl. Strand.

Danish language skills are not a requirement as our office language is English.

Typical work tasks:

  • Scheduling and coordinating user interviews (mostly remote)
  • Conducting and participating in user interviews and tests
  • Collecting and organizing qualitative and quantitative user feedback
  • Structuring and concluding the results of interviews and tests for use in our product development process
  • Possibly creating and working with wireframes, low-resolution concepts, and mocks-ups

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience with user research and feel confident addressing users and customers through interviews and user tests.
  • Have an evidence- and data-centric approach to your work making sure to keep the user in focus through continuous validation and testing.
  • Like to stretch your wings across user research, split testing, user experience, and product design.

We offer

  • Join a team of highly experienced entrepreneurs and tech people that help each other develop their skills and grow every day.
  • A relaxed work environment, in a flat hierarchy, with flexible work hours.
  • We’re located in the heart of Copenhagen, in Matrikel1, a great new co-working space, where you can network with other startups and meet cool people and fellow entrepreneurs.
  • Great lunch cooked by Matrikel1’s in-house chefs.

How to apply

If you’re interested in this position, please click the "Apply now" button below to open the application form. We have a few questions about you and how you’ve worked with UX and you’ll also get the chance to attach a CV etc.

We’re accepting applications until October 11. After this, we expect to take a couple of days to review all applications. You’ll hear from us by October 14. If you have been shortlisted, we’ll ask you to perform a short test before moving on to a face-to-face interview.

We look forward to hearing from you.
